After creating the Plan and Play pages, I planned to create a page about events that are happening related to cosplay. However, I felt that this didn’t fit into either of the existing categories of pages I had. This lead to me creating a section of the website based solely around events.
For this page, I combined the two colours of the other parts of the website. As they are yet to happen, and can be planned, future events are shown in the colour related to Plan. Past events can be discussed and pictures from them can be shared, making them social, and thus in the colour of Play. The events page can be reached from either side of the website via an icon that features in their headers. Both sides of the website can be returned to from the events page by the buttons in the corners, or by clicking the logos in the header.
For individual events, I wanted people to be able to say they were going to an event, and talk about it with other people who said they were going. On each specific event page, users can see how many people, and how many of their friends, are going to that event, and discuss the details with them. In order to show information about each event, the main details are shown at the top of the page. There is also a link to the events website, allowing users to find out more information about it. A map showing where the event is, allowing users to work out if and how they can get to the location, also features on the webpage. This links into google maps, making it simple for the user to interact with.
